Peanut Butter & Jelly Protein French Toast

Ingredients for PB&J Protein French Toast

  • 1/3 cup plain egg whites
  • 1 packet PrettyFit All-Natural Vanilla Protein Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons milk of choice
  • 2 pieces bread of choice
  • 1/2 cup strawberries
  • 3 tablespoons PB2 (powdered peanut butter)
  • 3-4 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons nut butter of choice

Directions

  1. In a shallow bowl, add egg whites, milk, vanilla, and protein powder. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  2. Soak bread for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Preheat a griddle pan and coat with non stick spray.
  4. Add soaked bread to pan and cook on each side for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  5. In a small bowl, combine PB2 and enough water to form a sauce/syrup like consistency. Set aside.
  6. Mash strawberries or blend in a small food processor, add sweetener if desired.
  7. Layer bread with nut butter, PB2 mixture, and fruit.
  8. Add syrup if desired.
